Ukraine projected to export 54 mln t of grain

In 2019, grain crops in Ukraine yielded 75 mln t of which 54 mln t will be traded abroad. This was announced by Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.

"We will see the final data provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine in March," he noted.

As of Jan. 10, Ukraine exported 32.07 mln t of staple grains. This volume is 7.8 mln t higher the prior year's relevant indicator.

Previously reported that in July-Dec. Ukraine supplied 6.3 mln t of grain to the Middle East countries (wheat, barley, corn).
