Half of Ukrainian poultry meat supply in January falls for three countries

In January 2020, Ukraine exported 37.35 thou. t of chicken meat and edible poultry co-products. Under the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCSU), in monetary terms, export in the reporting period is valued at USD 45.87 mln.

The key markets for Ukraine in the reporting period are as followed:

• the Netherlands — 7.87 thou. t, USD 9.67 mln, 21.08%;
• the U.A.E. — 6.69 thou. t, USD 8.23 mln, 17.93%;
• Iraq — 2.82 thou. t, USD 3.47 mln, 7.56%;
• other countries — 19.96 thou. t, USD 24.51 mln, 53.43%.

Previously reported that chicken meat exports by MHP in 12M 2019 increased by 25% year-on-year to 357.43 thou. t (12M 2018: 286.75 thou. t).
