January beef shipment worth USD 7.3 mln

In January 2020, Ukraine exported 2.14 thou. t of beef for the amount of USD 7.26 mln. As provided by the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCSU), the volume of chilled/fresh meat supply reached 459 t worth USD 1.45 mln.

The largest importers of beef in the reporting period are as followed:

  • Belarus — 432 t, USD 1.36 mln, 94.12% of the total supply;
  • Azerbaijan — 15.88 t, USD 50 thou., 3.46 %;
  • Turkey — 10.47 t, USD 33 thou., 2.28%;
  • other countries — 0.64 t, USD 2 thou., 0.14%.

Frozen beef delivery stood at 1.68 thou. t worth USD 5.81 mln. The meat was shipped to:

  • Kazahstan — 433 t, USD 1.49 mln, 25.75%;
  • China — 425 t, USD 1.47 mln, 25.25%;
  • Azerbaijan — 290 t, USD 1 mln, 17.26%;
  • other countries — 534 t, USD 1.84 mln, 31.74%.

As a reminder, Ukraine exported the first shipment of frozen beef to the People's Republic of China in November 2019.
