Kernel grain railway transportation made 1 mln t in H1 2019/20

In the first half of 2019/20, Kernel transported 1 mln t of cargo by rail by way of scheduled shipments. This was informed by Mikhail Kravchenko, Head of Kernel Railway Logistics Service.

"In H1 2019/20, high-performance indicators were achieved in cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsya. We transported 1 mln t of products under the scheduled shipments model, having received high turnover of the rolling stock, the speed of which reached 700 km per day. This allowed us to accurately estimate the arrival of cargo at the port. As a result, the Ukrzaliznytsya punctuality was 90%, which is a high indicator," said Mikhail Kravchenko.

According to him, Kernel has delivered about 4 mln t of agro commodities to port since the start of 2019/20.

As a reminder, Kernel acquired 100% interest in Rail Transit Kargo Ukraine LLC (RTK-Ukraine) operating almost 3,000 railcars for the enterprise value of USD 64 mln.
