January sugar trade generated USD 6 mln

In January 2020, beet sugar export shipment from Ukraine made up 17.31 thou. t worth USD 6.16 mln.
As provided by the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the largest importers in the reporting period are as follows:
- Poland: USD 2.377 mln (38.6%);
- Romania: USD 1.741 mln (28.27%);
- the UK: USD 1.411 mln (22.91%);
- others: USD 629 thou. (10.21%).
As estimated by the analytical department of Ukrsugar, sugar export in 2019/2020 should reach 300 thou. t.
