Ukraine's corn production forecast for 2020/21 improved by 3 mln t — USDA

Corn production in Ukraine is expected to grow by 3.11 mln t in 2020/21(July-June) to 39 mln t against 35.89 mln t projected in 2019/20, the USDA May report data show.
In the context of the projected increase in corn harvest, experts have also increased the forecast for grain exports from Ukraine to 33 mln t, which is 1 mln t more than the expected in 2019/20 supply volumes (32 mln t).
According to the report, corn carryovers in Ukraine in 2020/21 are projected at 1.56 mln t (+0.81 mln t) vs. 0.75 mln t projected for 2019/20.
In the period of January-April 2020, Ukraine's corn export totalled 14.62 mln t for the amount of USD 2.45 bln.
