Sea port grain handling made up 23 mln t in 1H 2020

Ukrainian sea ports provided for the transshipment of 23.4 mln t of grain in 1H 2020, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reports.

Vegetable oils shipment in the reporting period grew 6.9% to 3.4 mln t.

"Olvia sea port is increasing cargo transshipment up to 1.9 mln t, 0.7 mln t higher or 59.7% compared to the relevant period in 2019, and Berdyansk sea port up to 0.9 mln t with the growth of 0.4 mln t or 63.6%," the message reads.

Since the start of 2020/21, staple grains export shipment from Ukraine has reached 372 thou. t. As of July 10, agricultural commodities shipment reduced by 455 thou. t or 2x from the prior year's comparative period, 827 thou. t.
