Poltava region completed barley harvesting, average crop yield higher from 2019

As of July 16, 2020, agricultural producers in Poltava region are progressing in winter crops harvesting: 634.6 thou. t of grain were harvested on 138.3 thou. ha using the average yield of 4.59 t/ha, Poltava Region State Administration reports.
Harvesting of winter barley on the area of 7.8 thou. ha has been completed with 39.8 thou. t of new crop, the average yield stood at 5.1 t/ha, which is slightly higher from last year by 0.54 t/ha.
Winter wheat was harvested on 126 thou. ha, 580.9 thou. t was threshed using the average yield of 4.61 t/ha. Peas campaign covered 4.5 thou. ha: 13.9 thou. t of new crop using the average yield of 3.08 t/ha.
As of July 9, Ukrainian agriproducers harvested 2.92 mln t of winter and spring wheat on 918.4 thou. ha of the planned 6.66 mln ha.
