Kyiv region agriproducers finalize early grains and legumes campaign

Agricultural producers of Kyiv region are about to complete early grains and legumes harvesting, Region State Administration informs.

As of July 28, crops were harvested on 166 thou. ha, including:

  • peas: 4.1 thou. ha, using the average yield of 2.67 t/ha
  • winter wheat: 154.2 thou. ha, 4.34 t/ha
  • winter barley: 8 thou. ha, 4.05 t/ha
  • winter rapeseed: 22.6 thou. ha, 2.73 t/ha

It is reported that the region is 100% supplied with machinery and 101.8% supplied with petrol, oil and lubricants.

"We are making every effort to create optimal conditions for the development of the agricultural sector in Kyiv region and thus ensure economic growth," said Vasyl Volodin, Chairman of the Region State Administration.

Currently, the producers are making procurement of fertilizers and plant protection products for a complex of spring-autumn field works.

As a reminder, early grain and leguminous crops harvest in Dnipropetrovsk region will be completed within a few days.
