Early grains campaign complete in Kherson region

Early grain crops production in Kherson region has reached 2.27 mln t on 708.66 thou. ha. The crops yielded 3.2 t/ha, Kherson Region State Administration informs.

Crops harvested:

• winter barley: 345.5 thou. t on 104.71 thou. ha, using the average yield of 3.3 t/ha
• spring barley: 225.8 thou. t on 94.08 thou. ha, 2.4 t/ha
• winter wheat: 1.55 mln t on 493.4 thou. ha, 3.15 t/ha
• spring wheat: 5.2 thou. t on 1.69 thou. ha, 3.05 t/ha
• winter rapeseed: 175.4 thou. t on 89.97 thou. ha, 1.95 t/ha

"The work goes on, soon late grains and legumes harvest will start. Along with harvesting works, agrarians are preparing for sowing winter crops for the country's 2021 harvest," the message reads.
