Grain dominates Ukraine's commodity exports in Jan-Aug

In the period of January-August 2020, grain dominates the structure of commodity exports from Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine data show.

Grain export shipment in the reporting period is worth USD 5.9 bln.

The three most exported goods from Ukraine in Jan-Aug:

  • grain: USD 5.9 bln
  • ferrous metals: USD 5.2 bln
  • sunflower oil: USD 3.4 bln

Under the State Customs Service, mineral fuels, oil and petroleum products hold the largest share in imports to Ukraine in the first 8 months of the current year — USD 5.1 bln.

Previously reported that staple grains export shipment from Ukraine has reached 9.2 mln t as of September 11, 11% lower YoY.
