Egg production in Jan-Aug 5% higher YoY, Kyiv region in lead

Egg production in January-August 2020 amounted to 5.938,8 mln units, the data of the State Statistics Service show. This indicator is 5% lower from the comparative period of 2019.

In 8M 2020, birds' eggs production is dominated by five regions:

1. Kyiv: 1.738,9 bln units
2. Khmelnytsky: 533.9 mln units
3. Donetsk: 448.1 mln units
4. Dnipropetrovsk: 344.6 mln units
5. Cherkasy: 307.8 mln units

As a reminder, since the start of 2020, egg exports from Ukraine totalled 80.86 thou. units, 15% lower YoY.

In January-July 2020, birds' eggs production in Ukraine totalled 10.09 bln units, 1.2% less from the comparative period of 2019 (10.21 bln units).
