Dacsa Bunge Ukraine completed corn processing plant in Vinnytsya region

In Vinnytsya region, Dacsa Bunge Ukraine company commissioned a new plant for processing of corn with an annual designed capacity of 100 thou. t. The total investment of the project is USD 14 mln, Chairman of the Vinnytsya Region State Administration Sergei Borzov reports on his Facebook page.

"In conditions of quarantine, a large-scale investment project for the construction of a corn processing plant in the village of Demkivske of Gaisyn district was completed in record time," Sergei Borzov commented.

It is a company with 100% foreign investment founded by the leading corn processor in Europe Dacsa Group (Spain) and the American company Bunge, one of the largest global ag commodities suppliers.

According to Sergei Borzov, the new plant is equipped with modern Italian machinery for processing corn into flour and cereal with a total capacity of 300 t per day or 100 thou. t per year. At the same time, 80% of finished products are planned to be sold for export.

The large international corporations will be the plant's principal customers: producers of beer and food products (cereals, snacks, pastries and confectionery).

"The first consignment of products, which meet the international quality and food safety standards, has already been produced and prepared for export," said Sergei Borzov.

The construction works started in June 2019.

Previously reported that the main products of deep corn processing in Ukraine are starch and its derivatives.
