Sunflower oil export from Ukraine in 11M 2020: key importing countries

In January-November 2020, sunflower oil export from Ukraine totalled 6.27 mln t for the amount of USD 4.76 bln, 13% more YoY (11M 2019: 5.52 mln t, USD 3.85 bln).

Pursuant to the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the major importing countries in the reporting period are:

1. India: 1.69 mln t, USD 1.23 bln
2. China: 1.18 mln t, USD 901.71 mln
3. Netherlands: 583.44 thou. t, USD 442.71 mln
4. Iraq: 455.45 thou. t, USD 323.66 mln
5. Spain: 407.32 thou. t, USD 308.03 mln
6. Italy: 334.15 thou. t, USD 250.13 mln
7. Poland: 141.51 thou. t, USD 107.76 mln
8. France: 125.79 thou. t, USD 92.7 mln
9. Egypt: 123.05 thou. t, USD 86.16 mln
10. UK: 98.06 thou. t, USD 83.62 mln

Previously reported that USDA experts left unchanged the forecast for sunflower production in Ukraine in the 2020/21 season. In the December report, sunflower production remains at 14 mln t.
