LDC and Olam won GASC wheat tender, Ukrainian and Romanian origins most competitive

The Egyptian national buyer GASC bought 235 000 t of wheat sourced from Ukraine and Romania for February 1-15 loading period, Refinitiv Agriculture reports.

GASC booked 120 000 of Romanian and 115 000 of Ukrainian wheat.

Wheat will be supplied by:

  • CHS: 60 000 of Romanian wheat at 270.96 $/t and $12.37 of freight from Constanta, 283.33 $/t C&F
  • Ameropa: 60 000 of Romanian wheat at 270.96 $/t and $12.37 of freight from Constanta, 283.33 $/t C&F
  • Olam: 55 000 of Ukrainian wheat at 268.98 $/t and $14.35 of freight from Chernomorsk, 283.33 $/t C&F
  • LDC: 60 000 of Ukrainian wheat at 268.98 $/t and $13.33 of freight from Odesa, 282.31 $/t C&F

Previously reported that wheat export from Ukraine as of December 14 totalled 12.15 mln t, 14% lower YoY.
