Jan-Feb sunflower oil supply cut back by 20%

Ukraine exported 965.87 thou. t of sunflower oil in January-February 2021, 20% less YoY (Jan-Feb 2020: 1.21 mln t), the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

The dollar value worth of sunoil exported is USD 1.04 bln, 17.8% above the previous year's comparative period (Jan-Feb 2020: USD 882.8 mln).

The largest importing countries:

1. India: USD 303.89 mln, 29.1% of the total supply
2. China: USD 199.89 mln, 19.1%
3. Netherlands: USD 80.62 mln, 7.7%
4. Spain: USD 73.33 mln, 6.6%
5. Iraq: USD 68.99 mln, 5%

In its March report, USDA projects sunflower oil production in Ukraine at 5.92 mln t (1.47 mln t or 20% lower YoY).
