IMC spring crops sowing 2021 finalized

IMC agricultural holding completed spring crops sowing in the week of May 17-23. The company's branches in Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy regions planted 25.8 thou. ha of sunflower and 68.5 thou. ha of corn.

"This year's spring crops campaign had to be completed within an extremely tight period, as its start was delayed by almost 10 days compared to previous years. This was due to low temperatures and extensive precipitation, which resulted in the soil not being ready for sowing. Nevertheless, through well-coordinated work of the entire production and management team, as well as improvement of technologies (purchase of rapid seed drills, reduction and differentiation of seeding rates, etc.), we managed to complete the sowing within the period close to optimum," comments the company's COO Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi.

He adds that uniform emergence and the current state of crops, supported by rainy weather conditions, allow the company to look optimistically towards the end of the season and already begin active preparations for the harvesting campaign.

Earlier the company informed about dividend payment approval by the Board of Directors.
