Kernel-Trade supplied sunflower meal affected by mould to Poland

Kernel-Trade, a subsidiary of Kernel founded and co-owned by Andrey Verevskiy, exported a shipment of sunflower meal affected by mould to Poland, the SSUFSCP reports on Facebook.

"A shipment of sunflower meal which developed mould was exported from Ukraine (produced by Novopokrovsky Bread Factory, Novopokrovka village, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region; exported by Kernel-Trade) to the Republic of Poland (importer: W. Krom Sp. zoo, SK, Marki). The information was through RASFF(The Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed), reference 2021.2752 of 28 May 2021," the report reads.

The authority has warned market operators who use in the production or circulation of the aforementioned products to withdraw them from production or circulation.

It is noted that the Main Department of the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service in Kyiv should be notified of the results of the consideration and measures taken in accordance with the laws of Ukraine "On State Control over Compliance with the Law on Foodstuffs, Feeds, Animal By-Products, Animal Health and Welfare" and "On Basic Principles and Requirements for Food Safety and Quality".

In May, Kernel-Trade was refunded with UAH 1669,87 mln of VAT.
