Export terminal construction prearranged in Pivdenny port
Techagro company is considering a greenfield terminal construction in the Port of Pivdenny. The facility will specialize in reception and transshipment of grain and oilseed crops.
As reported by the port authorities, the project "Construction of the berthing and technological complex of Techagro company" was presented at the Port Pivdenny Board meeting on Sep. 8.
"The project provides for the construction of a terminal for the reception and transshipment of grain cargo in bulk from road and rail transport, vegetable oil from road transport, sunflowerseeds," the message reads.
The terminal will combine transshipment complexes for grain cargo and vegetable oil, as well as a crushing plant.
Under the project, the designed annual capacity of the new terminal will be 2.7 mln t of grain, 200 thou. t of vegetable oil. Sunflowerseed processing capacity is up to 80 thou. t per year. The total area of land plots allocated for construction is 30 ha.
Construction of the terminal is supposed to start in 2022. The construction period is 44 months. The payback period of the project is 6 years.
