Early crops harvesting in Ukraine progresses to 17.5 mln t, 41% completed

Agriproducers in 11 regions of Ukraine have completed peas harvesting. The wheat campaign is 99% done in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reports.

Crop volumes harvested by regions as of August 4:

  • Odesa: 2.5 mln t
  • Dnipropetrovsk: 2 mln t
  • Vynnitsya: 1.6 mln t
  • Mykolaiv: 1.6 mln t
  • Kirovohrad: 1.4 mln t
  • Khmelnytsky: over 1 mln t
  • Cherkasy: over 1 mln t

The early crops harvesting campaign has been finalized on 4.8 mln ha, 41% of the planned areas. The average yield of crops totals 3.64 t/ha. Producers have collected 17.5 mln t of new crop, including:

  • wheat: 12.6 mln t on 3.5 mln ha, avg. yield 3.6 t/ha
  • barley: 4.4 mln t on 1.3 mln ha, avg. yield 3.38 t/ha
  • peas: 226 thou. t on 101 thou. ha, avg. yield 2.24 t/ha
  • rapeseed: 2.5 mln t on 929 thou. ha (79% of total area), avg. yield 2.68 t/ha

The highest average yield of grains and legumes is reported by the producers in Ivano-Frankivsk region — 6.12 t/ha.
