Agriproducers in Ukraine harvested 55% of early grains and legumes

Early grain and leguminous crops were harvested on 6.1 mln ha in Ukraine as of August 18, which is 55% of the total sown area. The average yield of the crops made up 3.82 t/ha.

The Agrarian Ministry reports that the highest average yield of crops as of the reporting date was produced in Khmelnytsky region — 6.2 t/ha.

Producers have collected 23.4 mln t of new crop, including:

  • wheat: 17.4 mln t on 4.3 mln ha (91%), avg. yield 4.04 t/ha
  • barley: 5.3 mln t on 1.5 mln ha (96%), avg. yield 3.45 t/ha
  • rapeseed: 3.1 mln t on 1.07 mln ha (98%), avg. yield 2.84 t/ha
  • peas: 243.7 thou. t on 108 thou. ha (97%), avg. yield 2.26 t/ha
  • millet: 7.7 thou. t on 3.2 thou. ha (7%), avg. yield 2.39 t/ha

Agriproducers of Mykolaiv and Zakarpattya regions have completed early crops threshing.

Regions achieving the highest pace of harvest 2022:

  • Mykolaiv: 86%
  • Odesa: 85%
  • Volyn and Dnipropetrovsk: 70%
  • Kirovohrad: 60%

Producers in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Odesa region have collected more than 2 mln t of new crop, Vinnytsya, Volyn, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Charkase regions — more than 1 mln t.
