YM Liquid Gas begins exporting liquefied biomethane to Europe

In September 2025, YM Liquid Gas made its first export of liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG) produced in Ukraine, ExPro reports.

The company supplies liquefied biomethane to Germany. The buyer is Preture Liquid Gas, a Cyprus-based company that, according to the analytical platform YouControl, is the founder of YM Biogas Company — meaning both enterprises belong to the same group.

Deliveries are carried out by road tankers. According to ExPro estimates, the company exported around 60 tons of liquefied biomethane in September–October.

Production takes place at the Yuzefo-Mykolaiv Biogas Plant in Vinnytsia region, using sugar beet pulp and broiler chicken litter as feedstock.

Thus, YM Liquid Gas became the second Ukrainian company to export bio-LNG and the fourth in the country to export biomethane.

Oril Leader, part of the MHP Group, also exports bio-LNG to Germany. According to ExPro, the company has exported nearly 2.8 thousand tons since May 2025.

On February 7, 2025, VITAGRO became the first Ukrainian company to export biomethane produced entirely from livestock waste to Germany as a test shipment of 720 MWh (~68,000 m³).

On February 11, an MHP subsidiary made its first biomethane export to Europe — a shipment of 27.4 thousand m³.

On June 24, Horodyshche-Pustovarivska Agricultural Company, part of Hals Agro, exported its first batch of self-produced biomethane.
