WFP warehouse in Dnipro damaged in russia's drone attack
On the evening of 19 November, russia attacked a food storage facility of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Dnipro.
At least 10,000 food kits intended to support civilians near the front line were destroyed. Food supplies stored at the warehouse that had not yet been packaged into kits were also damaged.
“WFP continues to assess the extent of the damage. Fortunately, no one was injured. Over the past 18 months, WFP and partner warehouses and vehicles have been hit more than 60 times. Attacks on civilian infrastructure are prohibited under international humanitarian law,” the agency’s press service reported.
All food kits scheduled for distribution in November have already been transferred to the warehouses of WFP’s partner organisations, ensuring that aid delivery will proceed as planned.
