Career
He commenced his managerial career in 2010 as Commercial Director at Kaltair, a leading company in the sale, lease, and repair of diesel locomotives of various brands.
In 2013, Konstantin decided to combine his professional future with agro-trading and logistics. He then assumed the role of Head of Grain Transportation at Eurotech LTD. His initial tasks were to organize efficient delivery of grain by truck and rail. Over the course of the following year, he expanded the department's activities, becoming responsible for purchasing grain from farmers, selling it, and logistics to ports.
In 2016, Kostiantyn began working for multinational grain corporations. After joining Swiss trader G-global as a purchasing manager, Kostiantyn's strategic thinking, leadership skills, and in-depth understanding of international trade enabled him to quickly assume the role of head of the Grain and Oilseeds Purchasing Department.
In 2019, he started development of ICORN, a global trade and logistics platform. His own business is a logical continuation of the experience he has accumulated over almost 10 years, a deep understanding of the specifics of the grain market, and the intention to offer Ukrainian farmers an effective applied tool for optimizing supply chains.
In 2022, he joined the trading and logistics company Qortia AG (Switzerland) as a co-owner. He headed the company's trading division. In the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Qortia AG has been working to diversify its markets for Ukrainian clients.
After Russia invaded Ukraine, Qortia AG started looking for new markets for Ukrainian grain, expanded its cooperation with the Middle East and South Asia, and started developing river freight transportation in the Danube cluster.
Thanks to Konstantin's innovative approach, hard work, and the focused synergy of the company's co-owners Dmytro Iandovskyi and Andrii Vetriak, the company's share in the relevant market segment has reached about 15% with a monthly volume of more than 100 thousand tons of grain.
Family and Hobby
Outside of work, Konstantin enjoys spending time with his family and doing sports. He recently started to fulfil his long-held dream of learning to play tennis. He's inspired by travelling. He believes that any situation should always be viewed from several perspectives: as a problem or as an opportunity. He thinks this is the only way to get the right perspective.
