AMCU allowed Astarta-Kiev to buy 3 agro-enterprises

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) authorized the agro-industrial holding Astarta-Kiev to acquire a stake in three agro-enterprises.

This is reported by the AMCU.

AMCU authorized the company to acquire more than 50% of the stake in the authorized capital of the following companies:

  • Agricultural enterprise Agro-KA Poltava (Tarasovka village, Poltava region);
  • Zlagoda plus (Tarasovka village, Poltava region);
  • Agro-Region (Velikie Derevichi village, Zhytomyr region).

It was earlier reported, that Astarta in 2017 plans to invest $80 million in upgrading and improving the company's infrastructure. In 2017, the company plans to invest in the expansion of the land bank, the construction of a new elevator, the modernization of sugar refineries, the implementation of the project of electricity cogeneration at the Globin Bioenergy Complex, the infrastructure projects in animal husbandry and the renewal of the agricultural machinery fleet.
