Construction of the berth at NIBULON terminal is finalizing

The large-scale construction of the complex for shipment of grain and oilseeds as part of the NIBULON transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv with a capacity of 43 thousand tons is at the final stage, the company informs.

The construction was started in November 2017 with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Ukrdobrobud Ltd. (Kyiv) and Altra Invest Ltd. (Odesa) work around the clock there.

Altogether, more than 70 specialists perform the tasks despite the difficult weather conditions.

"Even water level fluctuation caused by change in the wind direction can affect the construction process, at first a lower plate is constructed. To this end, it is necessary to make formwork. The project design provides for welding at a level of 10-15 cm above the water. But if the direction of the wind changes and causes the rise in the water level by 20-25 cm, it is impossible to perform such work. Weather conditions must be taken into account. Despite all these obstacles, our builders are doing everything to ensure the quality construction completion and on schedule," the message says.
