Experts pointed the most productive farmlands in Ukraine
The Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine reported on the productivity of agricultural land in different regions of the country, uk.etcetera.media writes.
This indicator depends both on crop yields and on what local agrarians produce.
Experts point out that in monetary terms the most productive farmlands are in Ivano-Frankivsk region. On average, 100 hectares of land in this region earn UAH 1.2 million. Fields of Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Cherkassy, Lviv and Kiev regions have close indicators.
The least productive lands are in Zaporizhzhya, Mykolayiv and Odessa regions. On average, those farmlands earn UAH 450-525 thou.
Southern regions are more affected by summer droughts. In recent years, the yield of grain crops is 1.5 times lower than in Western Ukraine and Podillya.
In addition, the lack of forests affects, which leads to weathering of the soil. According to experts, due to soil weathering and improper agricultural practices Ukrainian chernozems (black earth) may disappear in the nearest 75 years.
Previously it was reported that in 10 years winter wheat would be the most productive crop in Ukraine.
