Wheat flour exports increased 4% in Jan-May

In January-May 2018, Ukraine exported 162.34 thou. tons of wheat flour for the amount of USD 34.45 million, which is 4% more than over the corresponding period in the year 2017.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that export of flour of other grain crops makes up 836 tons (USD 420 thou.), which is 73% more than over four months period of 2017.
The major importers of wheat flour in the indicated period are as follows:
- China — 51.33 thou. tons (USD 11.53 mln);
- UAE — 20.5 thou. tons (USD 4.6 mln);
- Moldova — 13.6 thou. tons (USD 3.05 mln).
Ukraine exported flour of other grain crops to Slovenia (USD 143 thou.), Israel (USD 71 thou.) and Moldova (USD 61 thou.).
Reference: from the beginning of MY2017/18, as of May 16, 2018, export of flour amounted to 393.5 thou. tons, which is 87.3 thou. tons more than the exported volume for the same period of the previous marketing season.
