Grain Alliance actively harvesting in Chernihiv region

As of July 24, branches of the Grain Alliance company in Chernihiv region threshed 250 hectares of grain crops. The productivity stands at 5.5–5.9 tons/hectare.

"There are 2nd and 3rd classes of wheat. The maximum productivity on the area of 65 ha was 7.65 t/ha of wheat of the Ukrainian variety Bohdana of the 3rd class, which is the first reproduction. The results of the harvest are satisfactory. Another 1.75 thou. ha of wheat are left to crop. With the onset of favourable weather, harvesting campaign becomes more active," the report says.

The weather makes adjustments to the work of the agrarians. For the first time in 6 years of work, the regional agronomist will conduct desiccation of wheat (pre-harvest drying of plants).

In the second decade of July, according to weather stations in the region, more than two rainfall standards fell in the eastern, western and southern regions.

In the Chernihiv fields, shallow stubble peeling is carried out to preserve moisture, and also to prevent the germination of weeds and seeds fall.

Earlier it was reported that Grain Alliance aimed at exporting the produced flour.
