Grain Alliance harvests wheat at 5.77 tons/ha average productivity

Grain Alliance harvested 43.78 thou. tons of early grains and legumes from the area of 7.76 thou. hectares, with 5.77 t/ha average productivity of wheat in all branches of the company.

In the current conditions, this is the highest yield of winter wheat the company harvested for 10 years.

"In the fields where wheat was harvested, agrarians have already carried out primary tillage to preserve moisture for the future harvest. As of August 15, the company is preparing for late crops harvesting. Desiccation of sunflower, later soybeans and corn will be carried out in order to start harvesting in time in accordance with the schedule," notes Bogdan Cheremha, the company's first deputy CEO.

Previously it was reported that as of August 13, 2018, in Zaporizhzhya, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson, Poltava and Zakarpattya regions, harvesting of early grain crops is completed. Harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops is carried out on the area of 9.5 million hectares or 96% of the forecast.
