Svarog West Group took stock of major crops yield

Svarog West Group reported on the sufficient main crops yield indicators despite the volatile weather patterns throughout the year.

The Corporation achieved the following crop yields:

  • winter wheat — 6.81 tons/hectare;
  • spring wheat — 3.17 tons/hectare;
  • corn — 10.63 tons/hectare;
  • soybean — 3.58 tons/hectare;
  • malting barley — 5.78 tons/hectare;
  • beans — 2.56 tons/hectare;
  • sugar beet — 51.2 tons/hectare;
  • winter wheat cultivated on organic technology — 4.81 tons/hectare.

“If we talk about the new crop, we have got the volumes we are proud of. As for the autumn sowing campaign, it was successful in all three regions. We sowed 16 thou. hectares of winter wheat and 3.26 thou. hectares of winter rapeseed”, says Serhii Filiuk, Member of the Board of Directors, CEO of the "Crop Production" Project.

As previously reported, in 2018 the Ukrainian agriproducers received a 70.1 mln t harvest of grain and leguminous crops which is 13% higher than the previous year's indicator of 62 mln t.
