Two biogas plants intended for construction at Agroprodservice facilities

The Agroprodservice company is considering the construction project for one or two biogas stations at its pig farms. This was informed by Roman Berezovsky, Deputy Head of Livestock Farming Branch at Agroprodservice.

One of the plants will supply the battening facility, another one — at the sow farm. The designed capacity is 2 MW.

“This is aimed at the reduction of gas emissions. However, there are difficulties in passing the environmental impact assessment procedure. We will try to quickly carry out these procedures, obtain all necessary permits this year and begin construction and development works. It is too early to assess the amount of investment, as the equipment supplier is not yet determined,” Roman Berezovsky adds.

He also notes that the payback will depend on whether and how long the green tariff will work in Ukraine.

Andrei Baran, the CEO of Agroprodservice, informed earlier that the producer set the task to increase productivity and saw the potential for its growth by 15-20%.
