Ten Ukrainian soybean oil producers provide 80 pct of the output

In September-January 2018/19, the market share of ten soybean oil producers in Ukraine amounted to 78 pct of the total production volume which reached 105.5 thou. tons, exceeding the corresponding period last season by 20 pct, the APK-Inform consultancy informs.

The major Ukrainian soybean oil producers in the reporting period are as follows:

• Katerynopilsky Elevator (MHP);
• Globyno Processing Plant (Astarta-Kyiv);
• Viktor & K;
• Pology Oil Extraction Plant;
• PromTechAgroTorg;
• Vinnytsia OFP;
• Tegra Ukraine Ltd;
• Elevator Bud Invest;
• Agrofirm Vidrodzhennia.

Compared to the same period last year, the processors shifted their positions in the ranking. Over the past two seasons, the Katerinopilsky Elevator (MHP) and the Globyno Processing Plant (Astarta-Kyiv) are the leaders of soybean oil production, holding the first and second places, respectively. The Victor & K company increased the production volumes almost 5 times, improving the company's position in the market.

In seven months of 2018/19 (July-January), the EU countries imported 11.8 million tons of oilseeds, 15 pct more than in the relevant period last season.
