Belarus, Turkey and UAE dominate Ukrainian beef exports in Jan-July

In January-July 2019, Ukraine exported 20.28 thou. t of cattle meat (fresh or chilled, frozen) for the amount of USD 60.6 million, USD 2.51 million (4%) less from the corresponding period in 2018.

The State Fiscal Sevice of Ukraine (SFSU) reports that Ukraine exported 8.68 thou. t of fresh or chilled cattle meat worth USD 25.5 million. The key importers of meat in the indicated period are as followed:

  • Belarus — 5.7 thou. t, USD 16.75 mln;
  • Turkey — 2.95 thou. t, USD 8.67 mln;
  • the U.A.E. — 12.2 tons, USD 35 thou.;
  • others — 20.8 t, USD 61 thou.

In the comparative period of 2018, Ukraine exported 6.94 thou. t (99.16%) of fresh or chilled beef to Belarus for the amount of USD 19.69 million.

In January-July 2019, Ukraine supplied 11.6 thou. t of frozen cattle meat worth USD 35.1 million.

The largest deliveries were made to the following countries:

  • Kazakhstan — 4.25 thou. t, USD 12.86 mln;
  • Azerbaijan — 2.77 thou. t, USD 8.4 million;
  • Belarus — 2.07 thou. t, USD 6.26 million;
  • others — 2.5 thou. t, USD 7.58 million.
