Grain export 2019/20: ag commodities shipment 6 mln t higher YoY

Since the start of 2019/20, Ukraine exported 19.42 mln t of grains. As of November 1st, commodities shipment increased 6.14 mln t from the prior year's comparative period.

By the data of the Agrarian Ministry, grain export shipment in the reporting period are as followed:

  • wheat — 11.53 mln t (3.99 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.34 mln t (645 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 4.32 mln t (950 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (58 thou. t less y-o-y).

In the 2018/19 season, grain exports from Ukraine reached 49.74 mln t. This volume is 21% (10.37 mln t) higher from the indicator for the 2017/18 comparative period (39.37 mln t).

As a reminder, Ukraine increased its share in wheat exports to Egypt from 8 to 20% in October of the current year.
