Early grains and legumes harvest completed in Poltava region

Agriproducers of Poltava region finalized early grains and legumes harvest on 330.2 thou. ha: the new harvest reached 1.56 mln t using the average yield of 4.72 t/ha, 0.21 t/ha higher (5%) from 2019.

Poltava Region State Administration reports the new crop indicators as followed:

  • wheat: 1.14 mln t, using the avg. yield of 4.89 t/ha (flat YoY)
  • winter barley: 39.8 thou. t on 7.8 thou. ha, 5.1 t/ha (0.64 t/ha)
  • winter rye: 14.4 thou. t on 4.1 thou. ha, 3.5 t/ha (0.82 t/ha)
  • spring barley: 339.2 thou. t on 77.1 thou. ha, 4.4 t/ha (0.81 t/ha)
  • oats: 8.3 thou. t on 2.6 thou. ha, 3.21 t/ha (0.72 t/ha)
  • peas: 20.3 thou. t on 6.3 thou. ha, 3.22 t/ha (0.71 t/ha)
  • winter rapeseed: 7 thou. t on 3.2 thou. ha, 2.2 t/ha

Currently, soil preparation for sowing winter crops is in progress.
