Neptune grain terminal in the port of Pivdenny (Odesa region) made its first shipment of peas from a consigner Sintez Group.
"Peas are a niche crop and such supplies do not happen too often. The fact that the terminal received and shipped 25 thou. t of peas at a standard speed of 2000 tons per hour, proves the versatility of Neptune. We can successfully work with a variety of crops," the company writes on Facebook.
The bulker Arcadia sailed off last week to Belgium.
As of early September, the terminal handled more than 2.5 mln t of agricultural commodities and loaded 54 vessels since its official commissioning on Sep. 6, 2019.
