Neptune terminal ag commodities handling totals over 2.5 mln t since September 2019

Neptune grain terminal in the port of Pivdenny (Odesa region) has handled more than 2.5 mln t of agricultural commodities and loaded 54 vessels since its official commissioning on Sep. 6, 2019, the terminal authority reports on Facebook.

The maximum loading rate attained in the reporting period is 41.183 t.

"Despite the quarantine restrictions associated with the coronavirus, we have undertaken all required measures to protect our employees, as well as provided for timely execution of previously contracted agreements to our customers, helping Ukrainian agriproducers to gain access to global markets and increase their own production, opening Ukraine with its surplus grain for new buyers worldwide," the message reads.

Previously reported that the AMCU authorized Cargill for the joint acquisition of Neptune.

Note: in the 2019/20 season, the terminal handled more than 2.5 mln t of agricultural commodities.
