Sunflower oil export from Ukraine dropped to three-season lowest: UkrAgroConsult

Sunflower oil export from Ukraine in September-April 2020/21(September 2020-August 2021) approached 4 mln t, 13.5% down YoY, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Ukraine's sunflower oil export potential in the current season was reduced to 5.38 mln t, this volume is 19% lower from 2019/20. The relevant Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Economy Ministry and the Association Ukroilprom.

Export dynamics in the key markets for Ukrainian sunoil:

• China +40%
• India -7%
• EU -33%

Analysts mark the increase in sunflower oil export to the following markets:

• South Korea +144%
• Libya +56%
• Saudi Arabia +26%

As per statistical data, sunseeds stocks in Ukraine as of May 1 were 38% lower YoY. The Ukroilprom Association reported that sunflower oil export from Ukraine as of May 1 made 72.6% of agreed in MoU volume.
