Harvest Online 2021: all regions of Ukraine started new crop campaign, 5.53 mln t threshed by July 15

As of 15 July, agriproducers in Ukraine harvested 5.53 mln t of new crop grain on 1.3 mln ha, 9% of the projected area. Early grain crops yield 4.16 t/ha on average.

Under the data of the project Harvest Online 2021, early grains bulk yield:

  • winter barley: 2.9 mln t on 685 thou. ha (28% of the total area), using the average yield of 4.29 t/ha
  • winter wheat: 2.5 mln t on 611 thou. ha (9%), using the avg. yield of 4.11 t/ha
  • peas: 73.8 thou. t on 32.4 thou. ha, using the avg. yield of 2.28 t/ha

A new crop campaign started in all regions of Ukraine.

Farms of Kherson region harvested 53% of the planned areas using the avg. yield of 4.14 t/ha, the new crop reached 1.7 mln t.

At the start of the campaign (0-20% of area threshed), the average yield of grains and legumes higher than 5 t/ha is produced in Vinnytsya, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions.

The USDA in its July report projects wheat export from Ukraine in 2021/22 at 21 mln t, corn at 30.5 mln t. Ukraine's sunflowerseed supply is projected at 16.7 mln t.
