Wheat flour export from Ukraine climbed to 7 thou. t so far 2021/22

Since the start of the 2021/22 season, flour export shipment from Ukraine has reached 7.1 thou. t, 5.2 thou. t or 42% less from the prior year's comparative indicator (12.3 thou. t), the Agrarian Ministry informs.

As of 21 July, exports reached the following indicators:

  • wheat flour: 7 thou. t, 5.2 thou. t or 42% down from the comparative period of 2020/21
  • other types of flour: 0.1 thou. t, flat YoY

Season's 2020/21 supply totalled 124.8 thou. t, 62% down YoY. UkrAgroConsult reported a ten-season drop in Ukraine's flour export in 2020/21.

Product shipment from Ukraine in 2019/20 made up 334.2 thou. t. Flour exports in the 2018/19 season reached 301.4 thou. t vs. 413 thou. t in 2017/18.

By 2025 the volume of world flour consumption may increase by about 20 mln t compared to the current level and reach apx. 400 mln t.

In 2020, UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO retained its status as the largest flour producer and exporter from Ukraine.
