Refined sunflower oil production in Ukraine: largest crushers in 2020/21

Dnipropetrovsk Oil Extraction Plant, a subsidiary of Bunge Ukraine, produced the largest volume of refined sunflower oil in 2020/21(September 2020-August 2021). The facility's share in the total production is 19.1%, the Association Ukroilprom reports.

Crushing plants in Ukraine produced 745.3 thou. t of refined sunflower oil in the reporting period.

The largest oilseeds crushing facilities in Ukraine in the reporting period by market share:

1. Dnipropetrovsk Oil Extraction Plant (Bunge Ukraine): 19.1%
2. Poltava Oil Crushing Plant (Kernel): 13%
3. Delta Wilmar Ukraine: 12.9%
4. Oliyar: 9%
5. Prykolotne Oil Crushing Plant (Kernel): 8.5%
6. GradOil Refinery: 6.5%
7. Viktor & K: 6.4%
8. Ukroliyaproduct (UKROLIYA): 5.1%
9. Schedro: 3.8%

Crushing plants in Ukraine finalized the 2020/21 season ahead of schedule.

Kernel chose to switch to rapeseed processing in Q1 FY2022 as a result of weak supply of sunflowerseeds to fully utilize its capacities.

As of 21 October, sunflower harvesting in Ukraine was completed on 83% of the area.
