Grain export 2022/23: barley export from Ukraine crawls to 670 thou. t

Staple grains export shipment from Ukraine since the start of the 2022/23(1 July 2022-30 June 2023) season has come to 7.967 mln t. As reported by the Agrarian Ministry, commodities shipment as of September 28 dropped by 5.644 mln t, 42% down YoY.

Maritime ports of Ukraine were blocked by russia since February 24, 2022, the day this country started a full-scale war against Ukraine until on 22 July a grain deal was signed in Turkey.

As of September 22, grains harvesting in Ukraine was completed on 6.78 mln ha (61% of the proj. areas).
Producers collected 26.1 mln t of new crop grain:
- wheat: 19.2 mln t, 4.1 t/ha
- barley: 5.5 mln t, 3.47 t/ha
- rapeseed: 3.1 mln t, 2.88 t/ha
- peas: 250.7 thou. t, 2.29 t/ha
- millet: 68.1 thou. t, 2.37 t/ha
- sunflower: 1.294 mln t, 1.92 t/ha
- corn: 92.2 thou, t, 4.41 t/ha
