Beef exports in Jan-Nov reached 38 thou. tons

In the period from January to November 2018, Ukraine exported 38.07 thou. tons of fresh and frozen cattle meat, which corresponds to last year's indicators.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) reports that Ukraine exported 14.3 thou. tons of fresh or chilled beef (January-November 2017: 10.98 thou. tons) and 23.7 thou. tons of frozen beef (January-November 2017: 26.88 thou. tons ).

The main importer of fresh and chilled beef in the reporting period is Belarus (USD 35.2 million), which was supplied 12.2 thou. tons of products (85.31% of the total) and Turkey was delivered 2.01 thou. tons (14.35%) for the amount of USD 5.9 million.

Frozen beef was exported to Kazakhstan (USD 18.9 million), Azerbaijan (USD 16.5 million) and Belarus (USD 15.1 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 6.19 thou. tons, 5.39 thou. tons and 4.94 thou. tons, respectively.

Previously it was reported that in January-September 2018 more than UAH 60 billion was invested in Ukraine’s agro-industrial sector.
