Grain export 2019/20: corn shipment 33 pct up

Since the start of 2019/20, Ukrainian seaports have shipped 29.35 mln t of staple grains for export.

As of December 23rd, commodities shipment increased by 7.61 mln t from the comparative period of the previous year, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

The grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:

  • wheat — 14.5 mln t (4.4 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.69 mln t (546 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 10.9 mln t (2.7 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (74.2 thou. t less y-o-y).

As a reminder, the highest average prices for grain and leguminous crops traded by agricultural enterprises in January-November 2019 were observed in Odesa region — 4 353,8 UAH/t.
