Grain export 2019/20: commodities shipment crossed 41 mln t

Since the start of 2019/20 (July 2019 – June 2020), Ukraine has supplied 41.31 mln t of staple grains to foreign markets.

As of Mar. 4, agricultural commodities shipment increased by 8.23 mln t (25%) from the prior year's comparative period, 33.07 mln t, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

Grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:

  • wheat — 16.69 mln t (4.1 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 4.04 mln t (768 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 20.07 mln t (3.5 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (82.8 thou. t less y-o-y).

As a reminder, oilseeds export shipment from Ukraine in 2019 amounted to USD 2.5 bln, 32% more from 2018. The volumes of supply of these products to foreign markets increased by 44% to 6.9 mln t.
