Astarta-Kyiv donated UAH 25 mln to coronavirus relief efforts

Astarta-Kyiv agri-industrial holding pledged UAH 25.3 mln for coronavirus Covid-19 relief efforts. These funds will be used for the purchase of medical equipment, personal protective equipment and disinfectants.

The company also transferred the specific laboratory equipment, able to test coronavirus by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, from its Globinskiy processing factory to Poltava central laboratory of Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

It is reported that the company allocated UAH 1 mln for the Kyiv Volunteer Headquarters, which coordinates the delivery of necessary equipment and protection means to Kyiv hospitals.

"As representatives of the strategic agricultural sector, which is crucially important for the economic stability of the country, we continue operations on a regular basis. In a few days, we will finish spring sowing campaign. Shipments of the products of our sugar plants and soybean processing plant are ongoing. The majority of our office-based employees works remotely," commented Svitlana Mozgova, Head of HR, CSR and communications of Astarta-Kyiv.
