Sunflowerseed oil export from Ukraine dove 18% in Sep-June 2020/21

Sunflowerseed oil export from Ukraine in 10M(September 2020-June 2021) 2020/21 dropped to 4.75 mln t, 18% down YoY, the consulting agency UkrAgroConsult writes.
The Economy Ministry and the Association Ukroilprom agreed on the sunflower oil export ceiling of 5.38 mln t for the 2020/21 season. UkrAgroConsult analysts note that this may result in high carryovers of sunoil in Ukraine.
Sunflower oil export dynamics in the key markets for Ukraine:
- China: 21% ▲
- India: 13% ▼
- EU: 32% ▼
- Saudi Arabia: 23% ▲
Spain cut its import of Ukrainian sunflower oil by 40%, Italy by 42%, Iraq by 30%.
Crushing plants in Ukraine finalized the 2020/21 season ahead of schedule.
In the reporting period, 88% of sunflower oil volume agreed for export in 2020/21 was shipped.
