Grain export 2021/22: wheat shipment 41% slower

Staple grains export shipment from Ukraine since the start of the 2021/22(1 July 2021-30 June 2022) season has come to 2.47 mln t. As reported by the Agrarian Ministry, commodities shipment as of 30 July intensified by 136 thou. t, 5.2% YoY (30 July 2020: 2.6 mln t).

The UGA informed about 48.8 mln t of grains and oilseeds export from Ukraine in the 2020/21 season.

In its July report, the USDA projects wheat production in Ukraine another 0.5 mln t higher in 2021/22, corn production projection was left unchanged.

As of 22 July, the new crop campaign was 22% completed. Agriproducers harvested 14.1 mln t of early grain and leguminous crops. The average yield stood at 4.18 t/ha.

IGC forecasts lower grains export in 2021/22 by major producers.
