Grain logistics on Dnieper lost 5% YoY in Jan-June

In the period January-June 2021, cargo traffic on Ukraine's main river, the Dnieper, came to 5.46 mln t, 1.9 mln t, or 63.9% up YoY, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reports.
There were 6,433 voyages, compared to 3,299 in 2020 (+95% YoY).
Grain cargoes made the second-largest group of commodities transported, their volume reached 1.13 mln t, 5.4% lower YoY.
In 1H 2021, seaports of Ukraine cut grain transshipment by 27.6% YoY.
In the 2020/21 season, grains and oilseeds export from Ukraine stood at 48.8 mln t.
